This first picture shows the location of the pegs and how they were arranged. The second is a view from above and the third picture shows how I used styrofoam plugs to fill out the form to save weight by reducing the amount of clay being used.
These pictures show how the clay was brought up to the head of the pegs to assure proper fill of clay for the female head.
These pictures intend to show the fleshed out head with the beginning shape of the nose and mouth.

The last picture shows the smoothing out of the clay to make a more realistic countenance.

This is the extent of the demonstration. The eye has been placed in the socket and a suggestion of hair is shown.
